Online Attendee Badges

  • Every badge purchased grants the purchaser a 3-month Class II membership to The Role-players Guild of Kansas City, Ltd. starting the first day of the convention. This is a non-voting, convention-only class of members. For more information, visit the RPGKC website.
  • By attending, attendees agree to abide by our anti-harassment policy.
  • By attending, attendees consent to being photographed/recorded (e.g. incidentally in the background of another's photo, or otherwise) and to allow their photo, video, or film likeness to be used for promotional purposes by Midwest GameFest Online. Attendees should receive permission from others before directly taking their photograph; photographic harassment can lead to expulsion from the convention.
  • There are no physical badges to pick up. View our Badges page for more information.
  • All attendees must have a badge to participate in events, including judges, exhibitors, panelists, contestants, and moderators.
  • Children 15 and under are free with paid parent or guardian. Note: All children 15 and under must be supervised but are not required to have a badge. Badges are required to play games.

Security

Midwest GameFest Online Management strongly encourages all attendees to take reasonable precautions to prevent online crime. There is no need to reveal your location to other attendees, and staff will never ask you for your location or password. If an incident occurs, please inform Midwest GameFest Online staff/moderators immediately.

General Rules and Regulations

  • Absolutely no selling or soliciting is allowed outside of designated channels.
  • Attendees must comply with, and be bound by, all laws, ordinances, and regulations of the country, state, county, city, facility, and, whenever applicable, police and fire departments.
  • No attendee may promote, display, or behave in a manner considered offensive to decency or good taste as determined by Midwest GameFest Online Management.

Security and Liability

  • Midwest GameFest Online is not responsible for any injury to attendees, or damage to or theft of property from any cause prior to, during, or subsequent to Midwest GameFest Online. Attendees hereby expressly agree to indemnify and hold harmless Midwest GameFest Online/The Role-players Guild of Kansas City, Ltd against any and all claims for such loss, damage, or injury.
  • Attendees will comply with all laws of the United States as well as all applicable state or local ordinances, rules, and requirements of police and fire departments or other authorities of such jurisdictions will obtain all necessary permits and licenses with respect to their activities, and will not do or suffer to be done anything during the term of this agreement in violation of any such laws, ordinances, rules, or regulations. If the attention of said attendees is called to any such violation committed by said attendees or committed by any person employed by or admitted to the premises by said attendees, said attendees will immediately desist and correct, or cause to be corrected, such violation.
  • Attendees agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Midwest GameFest Online from any and all costs, suits, and legal proceedings alleging violations of any such law or regulation.
  • All matters and questions not covered by this agreement and these terms are subject to the decision of Midwest GameFest Online Management.
  • Attendees agree to abide by and conform to all additional rules and regulations from time to time adopted or prescribed by Midwest GameFest Online for the management of Midwest GameFest Online events and online event spaces.
  • No inappropriate behavior ranging from spamming, spoofing, imitating moderators, virus spreading, and/or phishing is permitted.
  • Attendees acknowledge that they have read the preceding terms and conditions, expressly agree to comply with them, and authorize Midwest GameFest Online to enforce them.
