JUDGING IS NOW OVER

But you can still check out the winning entries, below, and at the Facebook Event.

This season the Art Show is ONLINE via Discord. Come browse the artwork at your leisure, or enter your own original work in either the contest, auction, or both. All kinds of artwork are accepted, including painted miniatures. Tell your friends by sharing this page or our Facebook event.

Participants MUST have a Saturday or Weekend Badge. You can get a badge here.

Online Convention

While our Fall in-person event is hosted in Kansas City, our Spring online event is hosted via Discord, a free text, audio, and video service. Discord is a web-based service that also has great desktop and mobile apps. You don't need anything more than the cell phone, tablet, or web browser you're using right now. There's nothing to download or hook up, but a mic and headset would be great. We use a number of online virtual tabletops (VTTs) including Roll20, Tabletop Simulator, and more (game hosts decide).

Art Show Gallery

Since we are online this year, the Art Show Gallery is where you go to view pieces. Some are for sale, some are just there for contest judging, but all are worth your time. Check out the Art Show Gallery.

Art Auction

Artwork will be displayed in our Discord server's Art Show channel (#art-show-text) and website. Bidding will be done as a silent auction via the comments under each piece at its website page. Artists will set a starting price and will also have the option to set a "buy it now" price. The Art Auction will end at 1pm, Sunday, Mar 13, 2022. Buyers will need to be present in the Discord channel (#art-show-text) to pay for artwork they have won. If the buyer is not present or able to pay, it will go to the next highest bidder.

Bidding and Buying Artwork

  • Bidding will be done as a silent auction in the discussion thread under each piece. Bidders simply post their bid in the discussion thread, along with their name or MWGF badge number (so we know who they are).
  • Bids must be in a minimum of $1 increments.
  • Buyers may purchase instantly at the "buy it now" price by entering the 'buy it now" price as their price in the discussion thread. Subsequent offers will be ignored unless the 'buy it now' bidder fails to show up or pay.
  • The end of the silent auction will be Sunday at 1pm, at which time buyers will need to be present in the Discord channel (#art-show-text) to pay for any artwork they have won. If the buyer is not present it will go to the next highest bidder.
  • Item pickup (or shipping) will be arranged between parties after the sale. If shipping is needed, buyer agrees to cover shipping.

Auctioning Your Artwork

  • To enter the Art Auction, artists must have a weekend or Saturday badge. Badges can be purchased at the event or online.
  • Artists must submit a contest entry form. These must be filled out in advance or at the event.
  • Limit 5 artworks per entrant.
  • The deadline for auction entry is 10am on Saturday, Mar 12, 2022.
